Brian O’Keefe, Ph.D. specializes in user experience design solutions for current, emerging and future product design and development. Brian is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Masters, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) program in the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been developing new MS HCI courses to prepare students for the continuos shifts in mobile ubiquitous technologies, all the while, instructing the fundamental skill sets of a human factors specialist and interaction designer .
His skills have been utilized by Eastman Kodak Company’s consumer electronics and advanced technologies generation teams, VistRochester, Finger Lakes Visitors Connection, Genesee Village Country and Museum, Eastern National Parks, Sbarro Health Research Organization, and various small businesses. Brian has worked in the United Kingdom on European Union research projects specializing in interaction design for conversational interfaces, and he designed museum installations for the University of Siena in Tuscany, Italy. Brian holds a Ph.D. in Human Computer Interaction from the University of Florence, Italy and a BFA in Interactive and Graphic Arts from Tyler School of Art, Temple University.
